[edit] Barely Latin
Hi unregistered user at IP address 92.226.193.156. While I made the type specimen, I am not the author of the text. It is taken from the column of Trajan. I've corrected the specimen against a verbatim copy of the inscription on the column. In Latin, it reads as:
SENATVS·POPVLVSQVE·ROMANVS IMP·CAESARI·DIVI·NERVAE·F·NERVAE TRAIANO·AVG·GERM·DACICO·PONTIF MAXIMO·TRIB·POT·XVII·IMP·VI·COS·VI·P·P AD·DECLARANDVM·QVANTAE·ALTITVDINIS MONS·ET·LOCVS·TANTIS·OPERIBVS·SIT·EGESTVS
I have centered the text, cutting off imagery that extends beyond the width of the illustration. CApitol3 (talk) 19:25, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
