Hyeon Ji-seok (a professor) and Ko Mi-yeon (a screenwriter) are sweethearts from their school days. When Ji-seok's father is killed, he is forced to abandon Mi-yeon and marry Park Jeong-ran, the daughter of his father's business rival. They have a daughter, but their marriage is loveless. Ko Mi-yeon goes on to marry another. When Hyeon Ji-seok learns that he is terminally ill and has only 90 days left to live, he goes to Ko Mi-yeon and asks her to spend the last few days of his life with him.
