Actually, although it was clear from the start that you weren't here to 'lick my ass', I did bother reading the whole thing. I don't like your tone and I don't respect all your views. However, I respect your right to express those views (within the laws of this country) and would fight to death itself to preserve that right. You mention the Netherlands and its liberal drug laws - look at Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, where dealing carries a death sentence. The lowest drug use in the world. The reason I want a war on drugs is because I have a number of friends who have been wrecked (in one case, nearly killed) because of drugs - and not for the better. In my opinion, all narcotics are harmful. Furthermore, as for abortion, I just think that, with supply being far outstripped by demand when it comes to people wanting to adopt kids, a whole load of lives could be saved and loving homes given to those kids - including those resulting from rape. When you consider that a 12-week-old unborn baby is capable of many bodily functions (such as kicking and sucking its thumbs) and displaying emotions, you can't just argue that an it is no more human than a tumour. If a child is going to be born into a life of constant pain and suffering, then I would support the right to abort that child. You then mention the anti-terror laws: I believe in the right to a free trial and I think that this country's 'special relationship' with the USA is a mistake. I believe that the 28-day detention limit is about right and oppose its extension. I think that this country should repeal its ratification of its half of the Anglo-American extradition treaty, as the USA has failed to ratify its half of the treaty. I think we need to treat home-grown terrorism with a 'softly softly' approach, targeting extremist preachers and bringing up young Muslims to be peaceful - we also need better border control to prevent foreign terrorists from even entering this country. Anyway, if you don't vote for the Tories, who DO you vote for? Labour is on the way down, and they're no better. The Lib Dems don't hold nearly enough of the vote in this country to reach power in the foreseeable future, and even they are very little better (thinking of how you would view 'better'). All the other parties are pretty much right-wing and likewise hold very little support. Actually, if it were down to me, I would forcibly disband all political parties and make all MPs independent, so they could vote on their conscience. Please don't call me a douche when you don't know the half of my views. I actually agree with you on some of your points. - Vox Humana 8' 23:32, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
