- don't be ridiculous. it would be incredibly easy for the software to add four tildes to postings, so why should it be done manually? in any case, since my IP address changes very very frequently, even more than once a day, it seems pointless to try to maintain an IP address based identity. and i'm not going to log in because I wish to remain anonymous, and a username would compromise that as the totality of my knowledge and contributions would easily identify me to people who know me, precisely what I'm trying to avoid. Since I'm not a vandal and my contributions improve wikipedia, this is something you're just going to have to live with till people like me get banned.
