I know it's you, Diluvien. You need a (constructive) hobby. --Halloween jack (talk) 00:16, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Is it constructive to add wrong genres?
-
- I am really, really at a loss to understand your obsession with editing genre labels on Wikipedia articles and calling people "kiddies" if they disagree. (By the way, let me do you a favour here: As a non-native English speaker, you probably don't realize how completely silly you look for using that word as some sort of attempt at a scathing insult.) TBM is not an industrial band, I agree; do you really think it isn't twice as stupid to get so worked up about it that you sling insults at people?
-
- Pretty much every single one of your edits is just a quibble over whether a band is industrial or Gothic rock or darkwave or whatever; if you really care about the music, don't you want to do something besides just quibble over inconsequential details and insult people when you don't get your way without anyone disagreeing or arguing with you?--Halloween jack (talk) 00:37, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Don't forget, behind a popular music group there are hundred thousand of fans. It's not only the genre. It's the social structure. If the music industry calls HIM a Goth group, one million fans think that they are Goths. The same with Nightwish, TBM, The 69 Eyes etc. And this circumstance is dangerous to the original subcultures and their infrastructures.
-
- Why don't you go read the HIM article and see how that's dealt with? There are sources provided on that page (and on the Gothic rock page) explaining that associating HIM with gothic subculture or music is false. I'm not even going to go into the grandiose ridiculousness of framing confusion over a Hot Topic band's genre as "a threat to the culture and its infrastructure," but whatever threat exists, there's a way to deal with it--and that doesn't involve throwing a childish temper tantrum, on Wikipedia or anywhere else.--Halloween jack (talk) 00:56, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
