To my knowledge, Abd does not work for a commercial interest supporting proxy voting (in the same way, that, say, Tbouricius works as a consultant for FairVote). It's more like a hobby. It's kinda akin to how Jon Gettman used to claim that he had standing to sue for removal of cannabis from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act because he could make money as a consultant on cannabis-related issues if it were legalized. The Appeals Court ruled that his interests in the matter were too hypothetical, and he did not have standing.
