[edit] March 2008
Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Simon Keynes. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. HrafnTalkStalk 14:48, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Simon Keynes. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. HrafnTalkStalk 16:09, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WP:BIO
WP:BIO states
A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of published secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject.
- If the depth of coverage is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be needed to prove notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources may not be sufficient to establish notability
- Primary sources may be used to support content in an article, but they do not contribute toward proving the notability of a subject.
Neither the article on Richard Keynes nor on Simon Keynes has references to ANY "published secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject" -- therefore NEITHER ARTICLE HAS THE PRESUMPTION OF NOTABILITY. The notability templates will continue to be legitimate until such source material is found. HrafnTalkStalk 16:14, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism
If you want to delete an article, get it deleted through the proper process. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.128.217.153 (talk) 16:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- WP:PROVEIT: "The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material. All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged should be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation." Removal of uncited material IS NOT VANDALISM! [edit] fellows
here is a list of fellows of the Royal Society. It is so easily established that it does not need to be referenced. http://royalsociety.org/page.asp?id=1727 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.128.217.153 (talk) 16:20, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- The threshold for notability IS NOT membership in the Royal Society. It is that they "been the subject of [substantial & non-primary-source] published secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject." HrafnTalkStalk 16:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Who's Who (UK) -- read the fucking article.
- Read the policy -- WP:BIO. If they're in Who's Who (UK), then CITE IT IN THE ARTICLE! HrafnTalkStalk 16:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Royal Society\Fellowship
Go to Royal Society and scroll down to Fellowship.
Fellows are elected by their peers if their peers consider them worthy enough to be elected. Worth is judged by their peers.
Stop trolling and stop vandalising.
and while you're at it read the rest of the Royal Society article too it may help understand what it is because I don't think you have a clue.
- The standard is WP:BIO, not being a FRS. Read the guideline.
- Removal of unsourced material is not vandalism. Read WP:V

[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:49, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
