[edit] The Fallen Madonna

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Longleat. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 21:42, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for contacting me. You got the right place (at least for the person who deleted what I thought was a joke at Longleat.) The Verifiability article explains why it is probably a good idea to include references for surprising or controversial facts that you add to the encyclopedia. People don't check out bizarre claims before deleting them: it is down to the original editor (you in this case) to provide a reliable source. Regarding Michelle DuBois, you can use the Sandbox to make test edits. By the way, I had nothing to do with writing The Fallen Madonna article, so your edit was the first I heard of a copy of this painting being at Longleat. The only difference between you and I is that I have registered a username. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 13:47, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
