Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian.Taprobanus 16:01, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Chencholai bombing. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 02:34, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- I suggest you read the official Wikipedia policies WP:OR and WP:NPOV which I already mentioned above. Adding your personal opinion on articles is not allowed on Wikipedia. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.--snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 16:49, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestion
Please remember, in order to contribute properly, what you have to do is not try to tell the truth but WP:CITE i.e. cite facts from WP:RS i.e. reliable sources that can be WP:VERIFY verifiable, avoiding WP:OR original research while maintaining a neutral stance but not every item you add has to be neutral, only the entire article has to be neutral. A lot of people will hassle you along the way, even try to get you banned but at the end sticking it to the rules and following wiki process will enable to edit happilyTaprobanus 16:55, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
