Hi. I removed the link to the video of the crying baby that you added to Abortion. Please see Wikipedia:External links to see what kind of links to external websites we're looking for. In particular, this link doesn't add any encyclopedic value to the article or help readers get any more information about abortion. Thanks for understanding. -GTBacchus(talk) 07:39, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Re: your comment on GTBacchus's talk page, that would probably be what is known on Wikipedia as Point of view pushing. A link should not be provided with the intention of swaying the reader's beliefs. Can't say I don't sympathize with your goal, but it's not acceptable to use Wikipedia for advocacy. --tjstrf 08:00, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Links
Hi, I removed the section you added to Pro-life, Other information that serves to argue against abortion. The title alone is POV - on Wikipedia we must present things neutrally. The links may be helpful, I haven't checked them, but it would be more appropriate to suggest their incusion on the Fetal pain article. I also suggest you register an account. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
and you might want to read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not: specifically, Wikipedia is not a soapbox. KillerChihuahua?!? 09:19, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
