[edit] A Note
I am already registered as a user, but have recently not been logging in to edit. This is because I am currently registered under my own name and no longer want this to appear on article's history pages. I have a life outside Wikipedia, and my editing has got me into a bit of trouble.
I am a university student in my final year (I won't mention which university) and one of my tutors recently noticed my name and announced to a packed lecture theatre that I had been 'wasting important study time' editing Wikipedia instead of concentrating on my work. I was quite embarrassed by this, even though most people were actually quite cool about it. Then a friend said to me that I should be glad that it wasn't this time next year when my boss might have been the one to make such an announcement.
I decided I could do without the hassle, so have been editing anonymously until I can think up a good nickname for myself. I will then ask a bureaucrat to change my Username to this new name. I hope this doesn't cause any trouble.
I thought I should explain myself after receiving the above message from the automatic bot.
Many thanks
