[edit] Vance Miller

Hi, Thanks for your message. I've made some changes but there is still a lot that needs doing to the article. Refs should now show up, I've added a ref section. RaseaC 18:36, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cheers

Cheers mate, I wish everyone here could be as helpful as you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Puttenhoe wiki (talkcontribs) 00:26, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 04:40, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My response

Listen bot, when Wiki code monkeys can be arsed to write correct javascript that works so that the button you speak of does more than sweet FA, I will sign my posts. Until then, find a cliff and use it. Big kiss :)

[edit] Proposal

If you have a message for me please leave it on my talk page.--GazMan7 08:16, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure what your proposal is, but it needs to be discussed on-wiki, out in the open. Frankly, I'm not even sure you are who you claim to be, but asking local folks to call your phone number is not the way to do it. You may create an account and email other editors through the Special:Emailuser function if there's something that must be discussed in private, but I sincerely doubt that is the case.--Chaser - T 09:12, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I have contacted an admin that will take a look into what you have been doing. Your activities are suspicious and have been noted. If you have any enquiries please do not hesitate to contact me. ScarianTalk 12:35, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Please stop spamming editors' talk pages as you have been doing. Any further such use of wikipedia will result in your ip being blocked. Thanks.--Alf melmac 13:53, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comments

Thanks for your comments folks, I am looking for a local wikipedia editor to help with a project and it's not something to be discussed in the open. I wasn't aware of the special emailuser feature, I shall register if this helps so thanks for the info.

Also a quick note to say thanks to those that phoned, I will get back to you very soon (been a hectic day).

Chaser: you said "I'm not even sure you are who you claim to be" - you are more than welcome to call and find out instead of making accusations of some attempted identity theft?

Scarian: I am unsure how attempting to make contact with local people (and you can see from my IP that I am "local" too) is in any way suspicious. I didn't realise you had to be paranoid to be a wikipedian :)

wiki_alf: I fail so see any such spam (unsolicited mail), I am attempting to make contact with real local people and this is not an automated process intending to sell anything. If threats of IP banning give you a power trip, I feel sorry for you more than anything else ;)

I am interested to know why the users who seem unhappy at me trying to contact them have registered themselves on a list of wikipedians in Bedfordshire. What other purpose may joining such a group serve other than to facilitate and promote networking and communication within the local area specific to that group? I'm sure all those who commented above have a most excellent reason I thoroughly look forward to learning of :)

As the group info says: "It has been requested that this category be populated. Please ask users who fall within this category to add themselves to it. Wikipedians who feel they are connected with Bedfordshire in some way, possibly by living there. This includes Luton."

I'm in Putnoe by the way.

Paul :)

Wikipedia is not a socialising network, and I am viewing you edits as spam, you do not seem to be here to improve the wikipedia, and you have already taken up enough of people's time, whille still explaining nothing.--Alf melmac 06:32, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New username

I have now registered on wikipedia as "puttenhoe_wiki", the Bedfordshire edits below are mine.

I am still looking to hear from other local Bedfordshire based wikipedians. Apparently this seems a bit of a crime by some ;)

[edit] Categories

Wikipedians should add themselves to categories and lists which they want to be a part of, its not up to you to do it yourself, you may suggest it to them, but ultimately, they decide, not you. Good luck. Twenty Years 00:33, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
