Hi, and welcome to wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions, but I want to let you know about a policy we have. Because spelling of many English words varies among various countries, our policy for particular articles is to use the spellings most common in the country most closely related to the article. In the case of the New York article, that's the United States, so that article should use US spellings. Thanks! Powers 15:10, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
