[edit] Belthorn
Hello, I am a registered user on Wikipedia involved with facilitating the development of geography-class articles related to the United Kingdom.
I was expecting a message about this article as it is clear that somebody (yourself I guess?) has been working hard on expanding the literature for Belthorn. I was not in a position to share my concerns with you on a one to one basis because you are unregistered. If you register, this not only makes it easier to communicate with other contributors, but also gives you some helpful editting capabilities.
On the issue of Belthorn specifically however, the problem is it's lack of inline citation, using reliable source material. It is not inline with Wikipedia's strict House Style.
If you take a look at a properly formatted article, like say, Chew Stoke or Oldham, you will see the type of standard required. WP:UKCITIES is probably the best place for getting infomation on how to write about settlements on Wikipedia.
I hope this helps you in your journey. Please in future, sign your comments by typing ~~~~, which generates a signature and time stamp (mine follows now). -- Jza84 · (talk) 00:56, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again. Thank you for the contact. If you are registered, if you could log in to your account, I'd be happy to go through some ideas on how to strengthen the Belthorn article and bring it inline with Wikipedia's style guides. I'm not contesting the content of the article; it is more so the formatting and how to make this article futureproof and verifiable. -- Jza84 · (talk) 00:01, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
