Hi, the recent edit you made to Talk:Maltese language has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. - you removed someone else's comment and their signature, that is unconstructive..--Cometstyles 11:38, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 11:47, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- I see your efforts on the Maltese language page, I agree with you that Maltese is not Arabic, many sources support this. What I know of the language is that it is a mix of Sicilian, Punic or Phoenician and Arabic. Because of that, it should be noted that Maltese has only origins of these languages, it can not be classified as specific Arabic/Semitic. Only if Maltese consists about 80-90% out of Semitic words. - Now I think of it, you should ask wikt:User:Stephen G. Brown. He knows many languages, perhaps he knows how to classify them as well. He helps me a lot. Bye Mallerd (talk) 11:42, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
