Hi,
In regards to lenticular lens, I was unable to find any discussion, the talk page for that page is almost empty, with no links to discussion anywhere that I could see.
I recently removed some external links due to their promotional content, "BLAH inc. has been producing lenticular printing for more than 10 years and has grown into the leading supplier to the promotions industry" is the classic example. This is not something that should be endorsed by an encyclopaedia. However I think you are correct, and I have been discriminatory in my selection of links to remove. Also, there are some intermediate edits that need to be restored as well. Anyway, I hope this has not annoyed anyone unduly, however I think it is important that wiki is not being utilised by third parties to promote products, and WP:LINK can help us to that end. Thanks for this. I agree that it should not be an open forum for promotion and for a while, it seemed to be headed that way. But for the last several months, it seemed to have settled into I believe four links that although they were linked to vendor sites, were extremely helpful and lacked promotional blather. I think those sites serve to help people researching lenticular. I am restoring them and hope that you will leave them there. Hopefully we can all keen an eye out and delete additional links that are more promotional than informative. Thanks
