[edit] Spelling variations

Thank you for your edits to Timeline of first orbital launches by country. Please note, however, that "programme" is not a misspelling, but the British spelling of "program". The Manual of Style states that Wikipedia does not favor either American or British spellings. Editors are thus discouraged from changing spellings from one to the other, except to make the article internally consistent (or if the article concerns a specifically British or American-centric topic), as this can lead to counter-productive edit-warring. Happy editing, — Swpbtalk.edits 22:04, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
