Attention:

This host, adsl-76-199-9-176.dsl.chmpil.sbcglobal.net, is registered to AT&T, an Internet service provider through which numerous individual users may connect to the Internet via proxy. This IP address may be reassigned to a different person when the current user disconnects.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

[edit] Warnings

[edit] February 2008

  1. Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard, are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. -- Longhair\talk 04:47, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

  1. This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to WP:AN, you will be blocked from editing. BoL 06:49, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
  2. Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. Grsz11 (talk) 05:26, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "A series of extremely aggressive editors took it upon themselves to auto-revert my removal of false claims of sockpuppetry from my IP's talk page. Of course, I had no idea that removing content from my own talk page was not allowed. ONLY after I complained on one of these editors' talk pages did one actually put a notice to "stop removing notices" in his/her edit notes. Honestly, these people were indiscriminately reverting ANY change I made to my own talk page after awhile, even the ones that DID NOT involve deleting the notices (look to the edits http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:76.199.9.176&oldid=195269503 versus http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:76.199.9.176&oldid=195269515 - the only content removed was _my own_, admittedly silly, complaint that those people posting irrelevant notices should please stop doing so. To be honest, I would not be surprised if they took it upon themselves to remove this unblock request. I was hit _repeatedly_ by at least two of these people. And as to my "original offense", I cannot speak for it. I don't know what happened. I know that I'm not running any proxy, Tor or otherwise. I believe the problem here may be a group of overly-ambitious contributors who feel that by bringing down many supposed vandals, they can make administrator even faster. They never stopped to properly inform me that I was not allowed to remove anything from my own talk page before reporting me for blocking (which Grsz11 did to his/her own talk page initially upon my complaint to him/her- please look to http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Grsz11&oldid=195269996 versus http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Grsz11&oldid=195269935 for this). Additionally, I'd like to state for the record that my IP, 76.199.9.176 is not and never was a sockpuppet for anybody. I hope that this can be resolved as quickly as possible and with a minimum of trouble for anybody. Finally, I would like to point out that I have never been given a chance to defend myself against these sockpuppetry allegations, nor seen any evidence (the evidence mentioned in the above templates is curiously missing from the SSP page)."

Decline reason: "Your claim of ignorance is disingenuous at best, and even were it true it would not be a valid reason for an unblock. This IP's initial vandalism was here, which consisted of exactly the same vandalism as had been previously applied to WP:AN by 66.32.167.223, 75.0.232.6, 68.61.134.174, and 24.57.85.219 over the previous dozen minutes. Your incivil messages to other editors ([1], [2], [3]) is what got you blocked. Kralizec! (talk) 20:14, 3 March 2008 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.
