User talk:76.186.225.139

Note to reviewing admin: Actually, I tried to answer the question on my talk page. I was unable to do so immediately because of edit conflicts. Said edit conflicts involved this user calling me a "jerk", a "jerk" again, and finally "pompous ass". If this editor would like to have a civil discussion about his edits after the block expires, I would be more than happy to do so. But in the meantime, they should cool down for 24 hours and read WP:CIVIL. Thank you, Satori Son 05:28, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
That doesn't seem plausible to me. You certainly seemed to get past the "edit conflicts" when you deleted my comments on your Talk page without responding to them. I wanted to have a civil discussion, but you were making it impossible to do so by not replying to my questions. If you didn't ignore and then delete valid questions, you might get called a "jerk" less often.
By the way, I didn't call you a pompous ass, I said I WOULD call you a pompous ass. Apparently my initial assessment of your reading comprehension wasn't far off. Also, I asked if you wanted to be a jerk the first time. Apparently you chose in the affirmative.
- That's not a distinction I'm going to put much stock in. I can't really consider unblocking you while you continue insulting your fellow editors -- name-calling is fine and even commonplace on most of the web, but can quickly get you into hot water on Wikipedia, in part because we need to be able to cooperate and work with a variety of people from other areas of life, even other cultures, and civility is a must. – Luna Santin (talk) 05:45, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm not going to put much stock in an opinion that lets someone in authority off the hook for ignoring valid questions. Would you like to explain that behavior for me? And if he were a mere "fellow editor," I wouldn't have any problem with him. But since he seems to let the power of being an admin go to his head, I have an issue with him. Please read what remains of his Talk page if you need examples of this. I'm a moderator on a very popular internet discussion board, and I would never ignore a valid question from a user.
ARE THERE ANY ADMINS HERE WHO CAN ADDRESS SATORI SON'S BEHAVIOR THAT CAUSED ME TO GET UPSET IN THE FIRST PLACE? MAYBE YOU COULD ALSO EXPLAIN HIS BLATANT LIE ON THIS PAGE ABOUT "EDIT CONFLICTS."
- Who said anything about letting Satori "off the hook"? It looks like you left four messages in rapid succession, without waiting for a response. Patience is a virtue. – Luna Santin (talk) 06:04, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- In looking over the edits, I'm thinking there was just a mistake made. Your constructive edit was removed with another IPs vandalism. Your message appears to have inadvertently been revmoved when Satori removed the old Signpost from his talk page, under which you had placed your message without a new header. It is very possible that his attempts to respond once he realized this were me with edit conflicts considering you posted once each minute for three consecutive minutes at the same time. I understand that you're upset. I think had you waited a few minutes between your posts, this could have been avoided. Lara❤Love 06:06, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

- Once again, I was not ignoring your question. It was deleted accidentally, and when I tried several times to restore the question and answer it, I was prevented from doing so by your childish and uncivil behavior. Wikipedia talk pages do not work like forum posts: when you try to edit a page and it has been changed in the interim, you receive what is called an edit confict. By editing my talk page three times in less than two minutes, you were actually preventing me from responding (the "rollback" of your subsequent attacks is an admin feature that is instantaneous).
- But that is not why you were blocked. You were blocked for name-calling and inappropriate conduct under Wikipedia:Civility. If you intend to become a member of this community, you should read that official policy and take it to heart.
- All that being said, I will say that I am sorry for my part in this misunderstanding. Though unintentional, I can see why you may have gotten angry. But no matter how angry you get here, you simply cannot act the way you did. Our project only works if we treat each other with respect and courtesy. In that spirit, I have lifted the block, and wish you happy editing. Thank you, Satori Son 06:08, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for the explanation, Satori Son and Lara Love. I really appreciate it. I'm sorry that I took out my frustration on you, Satori Son. I had no idea that my comments were inadvertently deleted.
