[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!
Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. --Guinnog 10:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your edits to Marilyn Monroe
Hi. I'm sorry I have reverted out your changes twice now, as has another editor. Could you please discuss any further edits on the article's talk page before re-adding the content you wish to add? Thanks again. --Guinnog 10:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I'll have to consider blocking you if you continue to add this to the article after I asked you nicely not to. Please do as I asked. Thanks. --Guinnog 22:31, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please note WP:3RR -- edit warring is strongly discouraged and may lead to your being blocked. Please make use of talk pages and the dispute resolution process. Thank you. Luna Santin 22:32, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
While I strongly encourage you to avoid reverting the article, I do however strongly encourage you to make use of talk pages to discuss your edits and build consensus among editors -- you may wish to direct your comments to Talk:Marilyn Monroe. You'll probably also be interested in the five pillars of Wikipedia, and core content policies including verifiability, neutral point of view, and avoid original research; I haven't looked over your edits too closely, my main concern at this point is to convince you to discuss those edits with other involved editors. Luna Santin 23:19, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply--call me stupid or old fashioned--I am not that great with computer language etc. Is there any board where I scoudl submit my entire article and then someone can edit it to whatever will be left of it? The article is Marilyn Monroe history that needs to be recorded. The fraud has happened and I exposed the people behing it. That has nothing to do with opinion and personal fued. The lawsuit is set and the people are on the list--a book is offered for sale--a very controvercial one. Is there any way that I can talk to someone via email or phone? I am not trying to sell anything. I looked at the Marilyn Monroe Wikipedia page and realized that it has not been updated in regards of the biggest story in recent history. The successfully stopped fraud exhibit. 76.168.210.190 23:27, 13 November 2006 (UTC) mailg4@gmail.com Blessings and thanks!
- Thanks for the message on my user page. I will think about what you said. In the meantime, have a look at our policies WP:OR and WP:V. Best wishes, --Guinnog 10:44, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hello!
I'm relatively new here, but I have been slowly getting the hang of things. I read your post on Luna Santin's talk page and I'm intrigued enough to go read the edit history of the article on Marilyn Monroe in order to read your former contributions to it.
While I have yet to read your additions, I do have a word of friendly advice. Take two deep breaths before posting and remember that nothing is on fire.
It sounds like your proposed additions are EXTREMELY controversial. If it's notable enough (PLEASE read up on Wikipedia policy before doing anything), it may well warrant it's own article. But I'm afraid if it IS notable (once again, please read up on Wikipedia policy) and deserves it's own article, you're going to have to write and edit that yourself - at least initially. There are a lot of people willing to answer questions, and a tremendous number of "getting started" tutorials, but there is no editing "service" here. Other editors might wish to come in and further edit, but that is at their own discretion.
I'm happy to help you with any questions you may have to best of my ability. If I don't have the answer to a question, I know where I can get it. Also, I understand that this topic is extremely important to you, and that it also might be an extremely EMOTIONAL topic for you. Please DO NOT take any critique of your work personally. Rest assured that the people who may be critiquing or evaluating your work for possible inclusion in this Encyclopedia weigh their decisions very carefully, and give your work serious attention.
Finally, I would like for you to consider editing, proofreading, or commenting on articles that are UNrelated to this topic. Wikipedia could certainly use the help of yet another intelligent person. Read some other topics, as well as the "getting started" page at community portal. Get a feel for the place, and once again, please don't hesitate to ask me (or anyone else for that matter) questions.
Good Luck to you!NinaEliza 08:23, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Please don't. --Guinnog 21:19, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- Please stop adding your unverifiable info into Marilyn Monroe as you did in this edit. Guinnog 04:50, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
