Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

[edit] September 2007

Please do not add inappropriate commercial product links to Wikipedia articles, as you did with Column. See WP:SPAM and WP:EL for our link policies. Georgewilliamherbert 19:25, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

If you insert inappropriate commercial spam into Column for a third time I will block your IP address for an extended period of time. Don't do it again. Georgewilliamherbert 18:46, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

This link: Royal Corinthian was the problem. It's one of several architectural product firms which have spammed the Column article repeatedly trying to insert ads of one sort or another. Any such links are not ok. If you want to reinsert material which has no external links, purely discussing modern architectural elements manufacturing or materials in a neutral generic sense not tied to any one company's products, then please feel free to do so. Re-inserting the link in any form is not ok.

Thank you. Georgewilliamherbert 21:27, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
