What was the purpose of your alteration of the Warhammer 40,000 section? Shrumster 15:38, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I forgot to put in the reason. I edited out a reference to a thread on the Warseer forums that was supposodly 12 pages of arguement about a "menial character's role" in some trivial part of 40K history. Well, I read the thread, it ended about a year or two ago, and the character in question supposodly saved the Emperor during Horus Heresy, making him not menial at all. And, I assume because you are a 40K Wikiproject contributor, that you know the Horus Heresy is not a trivial part of 40K history at all. So, I just removed it. Again, I'm sorry I didn't say what I was doing, I'm out sick this week. --75.57.161.53 14:30, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi, the point of the statement was to showcase how the fan community can squabble about a menial detail. Sure, the Horus Heresy is a big part of 40k history, but the character of Ollanius Pious is a very hotly contested issue. If you are familiar with the many renditions of the story of the Emperor's fight with Horus, only in the oldest fluff can you find references to the character. Some later references (as in 2nd ed) retcon this to an Imperial Fist Terminator, and in some cases, they are not even there at all. The point of the statement was to showcase how fans can get heated up in debates about issues that don't even change anything important in the story, much less the game rules.
