I posted this to Eagle 101's page, but in case you check it here, I'll put it here too: Hi, I wanted to respond about my editing of links on the college bowl games.
What's sort of funny is that I was trying to do the right thing, and clean up some links that someone else had posted. I was making them go to the specific .htm page for each game, and correcting the link text because his site doesn't have a history of the games, but accounts of the games that have been collected from various uncredited sources. Personally, I would be fine with removing all of those links as the linked-to site has copied some descriptions from wikipedia, and other sites, without quoting or attributing the quotes. (I sent an e-mail to the owner of the site about that already.) So anyways, in summary, I was trying to clean up his links, and certainly wasn't trying to vandalize anything. From your message, maybe the links should just be deleted. Let me know what you want me to do, if anything.
I also just noticed that Hu12 and Eagle 101 have reverted some of my changes. That definitely seems like the wrong thing -- if the links that I edited should be here, then they should have a different description. The site doesn't contain histories of the bowl games, it contains write-ups of the games. The write-ups aren't original but are apparently mostly collected from newspaper articles, which is why I changed all the link texts to "Collected accounts." If the links should be deleted, then we should do that.
