This host, pool-72-75-158-39.atclnj.east.verizon.net, is registered to Verizon, an Internet service provider through which numerous individual users may connect to the Internet via proxy. This IP address may be reassigned to a different person when the current user disconnects.
For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.
If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.
Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.
| Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation. |
[edit] Joey Salvia
There are a number of problems with your edits to the Joey Salvia article. Wikipedia is neither a blog, nor myspace, it is an encylopedia. As such, the prose must be written in an encyclopedic fashion, without using peacock terms or other forms of aggrandizement. Secondly, when it relates to the biographies of living people, wikipedia has very strict rules about what may and may not be in articles. Everything must be sourced, especially disparaging information. As such, unsourced statements may be removed immediately to protect the integrity of the project. If you have a source for your information, and are unsure as to how to place it in the article, please feel free to contact me. Thank you. -- Avi 15:31, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Once again, please acquaint yourself with wikipedia's policies on biographies of people. Text "authorized" by the subject is irrelevant. Wikipedia's tone must be encyclopedic, absent of peacock terms, unsourced disparaging information, futuristic predictions, etc. Wiki is neither myspace nor a blog. Please edit in accordance with wikipedia policies or measures will be taken to protect the encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Avi 11:43, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] August 2007
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to User:Avraham, you will be blocked from editing. NHRHS2010 Talk 02:38, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
[edit] Password hack
Attempting a password hack, as you did to user:Avraham on Aug 20, 2007 at 10:37 PM, is a severe form of harassment and a personal attack, and measures will be taken to protect the project and the security of its editors. Please take the next 24 hours to review wikipedia policies on personal attacks, civility, and harrassment, so that you may return to the project and contribute gainfully. Thank you. -- Avi 15:12, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
