Bourne's number IS NOT retired

[edit] June 2007

It says he was honored, it never mentions it being retired, honored players and retired numbers are in the same section. Look before you edit next time. BsroiaadnTalk 04:44, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, if you had read the section in New York Islanders carefully, it doesn't say it's retired. Here's the exact text you deleted:
"*14 Bob Bourne, LW, 1974-86, inducted in Islander Hall of Fame, November 25, 2006"
Where in there does it say his number is retired? If you look at the other people in that section it states "number retired (at date)". It is not an error at all. He is an honored member, thus listed under the honored members section, which also happens to show some retired numbers...not all of them in that section are retired. At first glance, I can see how you would think that his number being there means it's retired and how some may be confused by it. But if the person reads the line next to him, which I'm sure they would, they would see that it's not actually retired. BsroiaadnTalk 01:19, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
