[edit] Gilles de Rais

I'm fairly well convinced, based on usage and the IP address, that you are another anonymous version of the User:Marsiliano. (I say that because Marsiliano previously signed comments made by 72.195.144.113, and here's 72.195.145.248 repeating some of his same edits.) Welcome back to Wikipedia. However, and even if I'm wrong, there are a number of problems with your edit of the Gilles de Rais article.

  • The English idiom is "brother in arms," not "brother at arms." You may be thinking of "man at arms," which is an actual term that refers to something else entirely.
  • "Rescension" is not a common word in the English language, and it's certainly not used the way it was used in your version. This is why I chaged it to "rescindment," which is what you meant.
  • It is not necessary to refer to Joan of Arc as "La Pucelle" just to prove that you know she has a nickname. Use of her name is much clearer for the reader, particularly the first time she's mentioned in the article, which is where you had her labelled "La Pucelle."
  • We've had the discussion of whether he should be referred to as "de Rais" or "Rais," and you're simply wrong.
  • The English idiom is to take someone prisoner, not to make someone prisoner.
  • I would appreciate it if you would refrain from accusing me (or anyone else for that matter) of distributing shit, even in French, when you make your edit summaries.
