[edit] Notation changes at Damping
You've been making a lot of incremental notation changes to the Damping article lately. It looks as if you're trying to change the notation used in our article to match the one used in your textbook or some other source. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but such changes should generally be drafted and discussed on the talk page, and, once a consensus on the proper notation has been reached, moved to the article itself in a single edit.
