Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Thank you. Stephen Burnett 06:53, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from all of Wikipedia. IrishGuy talk 20:29, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Spamming again
IrishGuy talk 16:35, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.
Request reason: "I am not spamming. I am adding a legitimate link for horror films and it keeps getting removed. When I see that it is removed, I add it back. Again.. it is no more spam than any other link there. Please unblock me so I can add my relevant horror films link."
Decline reason: "You were blocked precisely to prevent the re-addition of the link. If you think the link belongs there, then start a discussion about it on the talk page of one of the pages after the block has ended. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 08:26, 3 April 2008 (UTC)"
Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.
- And it's never occurred to you to maybe use talk pages and ask why it's being removed, or make a case for including it? If your sole intent is to add this link and you won't even consider stopping, it's going to be very hard to convince anyone to unblock you. – Luna Santin (talk) 07:42, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Request reason: "The link I placed on the horror films page is for horror film reviews, so there is no reason it should have been removed in the first place. There are other links there for horror film reviews, yet those are still there. I have not changed anyone else's links, spammed or abused the system in any way. Please remedy this block so I can provide my relevant link on the horror films page"
Decline reason: "You're blocked precisely to stop you from obsessively adding said link. Promising to continue doing so is the best way to ensure you continue to stay blocked. Sorry. – Luna Santin (talk) 20:48, 3 April 2008 (UTC)"

Request reason: "That doesn't even make sense. If the link were not relevant, then you would have a point... but it is a very relevant link and was added through the proper channels, so I do not see what has caused the problem here. It seems as though this block is more for personal reasons as the reasons I am being given are not reasonable"
Decline reason: "You might want to read our policy on external links and spam. Please do not make accusations in your unblock requests - doing so may lead to this page being protected. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:58, 3 April 2008 (UTC)"

Request reason: "It was not my intention to accuse anyone of anything. However, accusations of spamming are being made towards me... which I am not doing. The link is buried.com... take a look at the site and you will clearly see the validity of the link for horror films. It is not in violation of Wikipedia policies and is not spamming. I would have addressed this issue earlier, but yesterday is the first time I saw that I was being blocked, and I knew nothing about this talk page for my IP address or talk pages in general."
Decline reason: "I took some time to review your website, and I personally don't think it qualifies as a link worthy of inclusion (it is not a reliable source). What I can do though, is ask for a review of the link on the appropriate channel. Note though, that I will do that, and unblock you, on the sole condition that you agree not to add a link to this website yourself, on any article. Edit warring is disruptive, and we won't allow it on an external link. — -- lucasbfr talk 21:20, 3 April 2008 (UTC)"

[edit] More spamming

Thanks. We have been doing movie reviews for 10 years, and they have proven to be a reliable source to people who want information about particular horror movies. However, I respect your opinion and will agree to your conditions.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):
I asked for input there. I hope editors are watching that page :). Note that our criteria for inclusion are quite high (we try to have as few external links as possible), were the community to decide not to add the link, don't take it personally!
