[edit] Hello from a Wikipedia friend!
It's none of my business probably, but in going over some of my own correspondence I see that you and I have both been at odds with user:Rollosmokes over editing, and have shared the same circumstances. I read your recent message to this user, and I say that I couldn't agree more. You said what needed to be said. I love dabbling in Wikipedia editing, but I am surprised to find that there are contributors who feel that they have sole proprietorship over articles (in his case, especially television stations, many of which he does not watch) and immediately brand other edits and views different from his own as "unneccessary" and "ridiculous." We don't need this kind of arrogance and I'm glad to see that you called it on him. All the best, Nick —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.180.135.133 (talk) 03:43, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] And to add another thought--
By all means don't be intimidated by such behavior or be discouraged to edit as you see fit. As long as you edits are factual and made in good faith for the purpose of expanding or amplifying the article, then put them in. If another user decides to delete them for whatever personal reasons, then utilize the Wikipedia third-party process and have the dispute mediated. And even if your edit turns out to be wrong or without fact to back it up, it is certainly not "vandalism", and you should publicly point this out. 67.180.135.133 (talk) 19:52, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Nick67.180.135.133 (talk) 19:52, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
