OK, I am TRYING to find a middle ground in the edit war over the spur stop at the Western pleasure article, but PLEASE don't remove FOOTNOTED material, that's a violation of wikipedia guidelines. There is a protocol for challenging cited material, it's considered very rude to just blank it. So please, go to the help page and read the guidelines, particularly WP:NPOV, I won the edit war with the TWH people to keep the material on soring in that article and while I am trying to work for a middle ground here, I will not allow an article to promote training methods that the breed registry frowns on. It is going to take me more time than I really have right now to reconcile these edits, and I will try to keep your better phrasing of some sections, but please do not blank material again without properly challenging it. Just an FYI that sarcastic edits are considered vandalism. I'm not tagging you for it, because I have some sympathy for your frustration, even though I disagree with your position. Do also read wikipedia's guidelines. I suppose another approach would be a whole separate article on the spur stop issue, just as there is one on Rollkur, broken out from the Dressage article (and hey, Anky won a gold medal and trains with Rollkur, but some people still say it's abuse, so the comparison to the spur stop really is quite apt). I am not going to get into a credential fight, as what we really need is to meet the standard of WP:NOR and WP:VERIFIABILITY and so far, I have found sources that oppose the spur stop (have to go to hardcopy to get the cite on the H&R article, though, seem to have thrown my copy out with the general magazine purge) and I cannot find anything other than chat board conversations (NOT allowed as citations on wikipedia) that favor it. If there is an article out there that can be cited that argues in its favor, it would be good to put it in. But, I guess overall we ought to take this discussion to the talk page of the western pleasure article where it can be fully discussed, rather than fighting over it in edit summaries and across talk pages.
