Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MER-C 03:18, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Actually, a train schedule would be inappropriate. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a travel guide or a timetable. Now, I'll admit that you should have been versed about the rules here, so I'll just give a brief introduction to our rules, often simplified to the five pillars. —Kurykh 03:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I know Wikipedia is not a travel guide or timetable, thats why the content is not 'relevant but not suitable for inclusion'. I read the guidelines carefully, and the only problem maybe is that they do have a lot of ads on those pages, but there is no other site which has the information, except for the hellish mta fill-out form.

I ride metro-north every day, and spent hours updating these because it always bothered me these pages had not schedule link.

The thing is that the information (the schedule) isn't needed at all, nor is it desired. From WP:NOT#TRAVEL:
Wikipedia is an encyclopedic reference, not an instruction manual, guidebook or textbook...An article on Paris should mention landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, but not the telephone number or street address of your favorite hotel or the price of a café au lait on the Champs-Élysées. Wikipedia is not a place to re-create content more suited to entries in hotel guides, culinary guides, travelogues, and the like. Notable locations may meet inclusion criteria, but Wikipedia does not list every tourist attraction, restaurant, hotel, venue, etc. Such details may be welcome at Wikitravel, however.
The information you gave was pretty much more suited for a timetable published by the MTA and not of interest for someone who is looking for information (such as history, architecture, and design) of the station itself, which is' appropriate material for an encyclopedia such as Wikipedia. I'm sorry if I'm getting picky here, but we do have this established precedent of not allowing timetables. We appreciate the effort that you devoted to creating your site and the addition of the links, but the addition of the links was not appropriate due to content matter. —Kurykh 04:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
...and if captchas is your problem, then sign up for an account. No more captchas then (once the account has become established anyway). —Wknight94 (talk) 11:42, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
