Hi. Where are those 2006 figures from? Thx. El_C 19:50, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Just need to know which publication; saying "2006" is not enough. El_C 19:55, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Will I be forced to impose a lengthy block? How can I get your attention? El_C 23:18, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Random changes to population figures

I notice that you continue, with a couple of other users, to change population figures for Sierra Leone articles, presumably to communicate other information to some unknown person. I would be interested to know what message is being passed to whom by your changes. If you happen to have access to genuine figures, please cite your source, otherwise, please leave the 2004 census figures which have numerous sources elsewhere. I find it difficult to believe that anyone, even the governmnent of Sierra Leone, could possibly recount or even re-estimate the population of a district every day! Best wishes, and I look forward to your explanation of why 2006 estimates are better than the official 2004 published figures. dbfirs 09:05, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Those changes look very random to me too. Please present your sources. ---Sluzzelin talk 07:22, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Temporary block

Hi. You've been blocked for two days, or until we can get you to respond here. As soon as you acknowledge you read the above you can be immediately unblocked. There's simply appears to be no other way to get your attention. We just want you to identify the publication/s you are using for the 2006 population figures, so that we are sure they are as reliable as the 2004 census ones. Thx and sorry for any inconvenience. Rather than use offensive language in your edit, why don't you respond to requests for sources. Of course we are aware that the population figures have changed since 2004, and if you have genuine official estimates, please let us know where we can find them, other than on an Italian private website set up two months ago. The reason we became suspicious of your edits is that the figures were regularly being changed by you and other editors. Because of the pattern of edits, we came to the conclusion that Wikipedia was being mis-used for some illegal purpose. If we are wrong, please tell us politely, rather than using offensive language which only confirms our suspicions. Best wishes. dbfirs 08:57, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
The 2006 estime is the most recent census taken. The website you got your so called 2004 official sencus figure is absolutely false. Like most African countries, Sierra Leone has not done an official census since 1985. I would also like to know hou could Magburaka and Kailahun has more population than three of the five larger cities of Kenema, Koidu Town and Makeni. Only Freetown and Bo have more population than this cities. You need to change your census and post mine. Freetown is eithh most populous cities in West Africa so how could the city have a population of around 70,000, Bo which is the second largest cities has a population of nearly 400,000. I would like you to do more research about my country Sierra Leone before you post any false information about us. 71.163.213.244 at 07:03, February 11, 2008
I have no wish to do any injustice to the cities of Sierra Leone, but the country held a census in 2004, not 2006. If you think that this was not valid, then perhaps we should go back to the 1985 figures. Along with several other editors, I have repeatedly tried to find out where your numbers were being obtained from. Did you know that some of the changes were made by an editor at a public library in America? If you have genuine figures (other than those from the new Italian website "sierraeye"), please could you let us know where we can confirm these, then your edits can remain. The only reason that we didn't believe you in the first place was that you kept changing your population figures in a very strange way which could not possibly reflect the true population. We are quite aware that the population has increased since 2004, and this is reflected in the fact that we have left your estimate of the population of the capital, but please do not remove the 2004 figures because they are verifyable at several other sites elsewhere. dbfirs 12:40, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
You are quite correct about Magburaka and Kailahun. It was user:Sittaconde who entered these figures, and you altered them to several differing estimates, so I have entered the official 1985 census data as being the latest which can be confirmed. I realise that the population has increased considerably since then. Is there a more recent official figure? dbfirs 13:13, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
This is not the only article on Wikipedia where you have introduced exaggerated figures: African Immigration. Do you live in the USA? dbfirs 09:23, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
