Please quit messing with the Chris Daly and Gavin Newsome articles. This isn't the place for mouthing your personal opinions. Griot 23:49, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

And if you feel like those articles *are* inaccurate, something a little more constructive than reverting over and over again would be welcomed. Paulhogarth has made an attempt at merging the two articles to get something a little cleaner and more descriptive. I am not hostile to Daly, but we need to keep to the NPOV and BIO standards. [edit] Chris Daly article

POV stands for "point of view." The article as you keep editing it is not objective.

If you want to make statements like these, you must find quotes to back them up: "has had a significant impact upon San Francisco's development policy"; "He worked to require developers to include significant community benefits"; "the City's most prominent homeless advocates from the Mayor's personal attacks in a private meeting"; "rarely having been challenged so effectively in his storied 40 year political career"; "promotion of a progressive agenda has landed him on the national stage"; "The passage of this proposition marked one of the beginnings of widespread discontent with the Bush Administration's occupation of Iraq" <chuckle>.

Wikipedia is not a PR device. Griot 21:42, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

I have to agree with Griot above. The article as it stands under Griot's revisions incorporated most of the information from the one that you keep reverting to; the differences are mostly in tone. We do want to keep the style of this article as encyclopedic as possible. Since you're not a registered user, and because you don't seem particularly interested in dialogue on this issue, I am going to request semi-protection the next time this happens. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brainslug (talkcontribs) 00:43, 14 January 2007 (UTC).
