[edit] IOC and medal count
Please do not remove the IOC from the list of organizations that use the medal ranking counting method. The IOC has used this method by convention for many decades, even if it is "unofficial". --Madchester 22:11, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
The current wording is already accurate. It indicates that the IOC uses that system, even if it is unofficial. It's quite a fair compromise in explaiing both sides of the issue. Please do not make any further reverts, or you may violate the three revert rule. Thanks. --Madchester 22:32, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- Articles on Wikipedia must pertain to a neutral point of view. To present the system fairly, you must realize that the IOC recognizes medal counts by convention, if not officially. To discredit the organization's use of any counting mechanism entirely does not pertain to such a neutral view, especially when the organization presents medal standings and counting methodology on their official website. --Madchester 22:43, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Your not being objective,
AGAIN The Organization (IOC) DOES NOT use any system and does not recognize any medal count.
the EDITORS of the IOC website does. that's the difference.
You can not use the name of IOC the Organization (NOT the WEBSITE) and claim that they use system because they don't, It is a FACT.
And it is not a PONIT OF VIEW.
Blocking me is UNFAIR. And I'm not vandalizing, I presented a very sound and valid argument.
I'm new here so I don't know how things works here I hope someone could help me with this dispute.
How about let's make a concensus let others read our debate and let them decide what to do?71.106.141.207 01:30, 19 February 2006 (UTC)vo
--here is what I replied to you last--
In order to have a "neutral point of view" then we must consider what they "officially" believe.
AGAIN they DON'T RECOGNIZE any medal counts by convention, this is their website editors speaking thats is why at the bottom of the medal table the website editors put a note "IOC does not recognize ..."
The ORAGANIZATION or the IOC Itself does not use medal counts officially or UNOFFICIALLY PERIOD. Do you see the difference?
You are confusing two things here the ORGANIZATION(IOC) and The IOC webiste. They are completely different you see.71.106.141.207 01:52, 19 February 2006 (UTC)vo
