[edit] February 2008 on Yellowpages.com
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Yellowpages.com. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. ~Kylu (u|t) 03:52, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] February 2008
Hi, the recent edit you made to Talk:Yellowpages.com has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. —αἰτίας •discussion• 13:49, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm trying to make the article so you two can discuss things constructively, but if you edit the comments of others like this, you're making it much harder to do so. The edit has been reversed. ~Kylu (u|t) 20:39, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Yellowpages.com
I've tried to explain, but apparently I've failed to communicate things enough.
Both parties to the dispute have been blocked from editing for 48 hours.
I'd like you to both read and understand this, not simply create accounts and find your way around the block. Those creating accounts simply to circumvent blocks will have those accounts blocked indefinitely.
- Changing what other people have written on the article page is fine, as long as it is not disruptive. I had to protect the article to try to get you both to discuss things on the article talkpage.
- Changing what other people have written on the talkpage is generally not fine. Don't change "names to true names" and vice versa. You are responsible for your own statements, and modifying the statements of others is not acceptable. See the Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines for more information on what is and is not allowable behavior on talkpages.
- See-saw editing, reverting each other blindly, is not going to solve this issue. You've both been blindly reverting eachother, you've both sent emails to us regarding the issue, but neither of you have actually tried to discuss things yet.
- I can help you find a dispute resolution system on Wikipedia. We have simple requests for outside commentary, mediation (both informal and formal) and, if the situation worsens, arbitration. I would greatly suggest working together to solve the problem before arbitration, as the outcome is typically unhappy for all involved parties. I'm afraid I will not be able to mediate the dispute myself, but again, I'm happy to suggest a solution for you.
- As a precaution, please note that we have a very strict policy against legal threats. Threats posted on this site will result in an immediate and permanent ban from editing. If you'd like to engage in legal wrangling, do it elsewhere. You both have the full name, location, and IP of the other party.
After this block expires, at least consider civil discourse on the talkpage instead of the previous blind reverting as has been the case previously. Thank you for your understanding. ~Kylu (u|t) 03:11, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Yellowpages.com
You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 24 hours as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated.
Now, seriously, I told both of you to stop removing each others comments. I wasn't kidding. The page is there for you to discuss the situation, and it'd be nice if you two could please attempt to be civil about the whole thing and provide reliable sources that provide the citations needed in the article.
If you'd like to refrain from editing the comments of others, please feel free to continue the discussion on the talkpage.
Please see WP:3RR for additional information on why this is important. ~Kylu (u|t) 02:26, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
