301Studios is an independent electronica and hip-hop record label based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was founded and is owned by husband and wife duo Joshua and Amanda Lexvold. Since the labels' inception in 2003, 301Studios seems to have taken a business model cue from successful independent labels of the past, such as Amphetamine Reptile, Ipecac Records and Wax Trax!, by focusing on artist development rather than searching out ready-made or top-40 radio-friendly artists.[1]
