School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 69.87.183.178, is registered to Morehouse College and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. -- febtalk 20:36, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

He also violated the rule. 69.87.183.178

No. I reverted three times. To break 3RR, you have to revert more than three times. You reverted six times. Clayboy 20:41, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Collective reverting with another user for the same goal constitutes the same crime. 69.87.183.178 20:42, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

"You reverted six times."

Within a 48-hr period.

Regardless of whether he did or not, that doesn't make it ok for you. Just because your rival killed 3 people to win a contest against you, does that make it ok for you to? An eye for an eye makes wikipedia an edit war battlefield. Please control your editing in the future -- febtalk 20:46, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Also, please read the note above. 3RR is a guideline not a rule. You can be banned for less or allowed more, considering circumstances involved. -- febtalk 20:47, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you helping me successfully block the entire static IP for a major university. That is what I wanted.

Meanwhile a self-admitted pedophile going by the handle "[Personnal Attack Removed by -- lucasbfr talk]" edits wikipedia instead and slants articles to his hearts desires. Talk about Platonic love!

Please read WP:NPA. I'd advise that you take this time while you're banned to read through Wikipedia's various policies and procedures (such as through the links given on this page). In addition, users from the university are still free to log in to their accounts to edit wikipedia, and it's unlikely that a major university's IPs wouldn't have already been warned for vandalism. -- febtalk 21:01, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talk pages

Talk pages are not a place for content dispute tags such as NPOV and dispute. In addition, comments on talk pages do not require factual references, unless they are to be added to an article. Continuing to mark your page such as this makes it harder for people who truly wish to remove these problems from articles. -- febtalk 21:07, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] stop now

You are disturbing Wikipedia. Consider it your last warning. -- lucasbfr talk 21:12, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User notice: temporary 3RR block

[edit] Regarding reversions[1] made on January 21, 2007 to Pederasty

You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future.
The duration of the block is 24 hours. William M. Connolley 21:21, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
