Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. [edit] Weblo
A tag has been placed on Weblo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 20:14, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your message
WHy are you deleting all Weblo links. Weblo pages are build by users just like mySpace is yet you guys allow myspace links? People want to use WIKI so they can promote pages they create on their hometown or favorite celeb this is in now way advertising. Please explain!
- Please see our external links policy. Using Wikipedia to promote your webpage is expressly forbidden, and is in fact advertising. I'm not sure what you think the word "promote" means, but it is a synonym of advertise. MySpace links are very, very occasionally allowed, generally only if an article subject has an official MySpace account. Otherwise, these links are not allowed. Neither are YouTube, Flickr, or other user generated content links generally allowed. Natalie 18:04, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Why don't you try reading the actual policy? You'll see that it says that removing a link for violating the EL policy does not construe endorsement of all the other external links. We are all volunteers at Wikipedia and we can't be everywhere at once. If you think the askmen link violates the EL policy, then remove it with an edit summary explaining your reasoning and linking to the appropriate policy page. Natalie 18:10, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Why isnt anything allowed to be posted on this page? Weblo is a great place, and I dont understand why everytime I keep adding to this page, it gets taken down. Someone please explain.
- It is taken down because it fails our external links policy. I'm not sure how this isn't clear. Natalie 20:24, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Im not talking about making EL...im talking about making a wiki entry on Weblo...can we at least do that? THIS IS REDICULOUS, WIKI IS USER GENERATED SO IS WEBLO, THOUSANDS OF USERS CONTRIBUTE TO SITES ON WEBLO HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM WIKI AND HOW IS THIS CONSIDERED SPAMMING. ALL THE OTHER LINKS YOU GUYS PUT ON WIKI ARE SITES OWNED OR CREATED BY SOMEONE TOO SO WHY THE HELL DO YOU LEAVE THEM????
[edit] August 2007
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Alessandra Ambrosio. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop. If you continue spamming Wikipedia, as you did to Andrea Rincon, you will be blocked from editing. --Orange Mike 21:26, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
This is your last warning.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Rio de Janeiro, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia. ♣♦ SmartGuy ♥♠ 19:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
