[edit] {{main|Unit record equipment}} or a new "Unit record equipment" category?
I added a comment to Talk:Unit record equipment suggesting that what might be appropriate here would be a "Unit record equipment" category, with the articles for various pieces of unit record equipment having [[Category:Unit record equipment]]. Discussion should perhaps be continued on that talk page, rather than on your, R. S. Shaw's, or my talk page. Guy Harris 22:12, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Early computers
Hi, I have replied to your comment on my talk page --- to keep the conversation in one place. Thanks, --Wernher 14:23, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] XEDIT and invitation
First, you seem like an interesting person to communicate with, so please register for an account, so there will be a consistent place to communicate.
Second, I noticed you put the XEDIT article into the IBM mainframe computer operating systems category. I suppose that makes some sense, since it is or was included with the VM/CMS operating system, but I think of it mainly as a text editor. Would you explain your reasoning? --Gerry Ashton 21:44, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Whoa! No more omnibus please
I do not see the link between all of the articles in Category:IBM omnibus and the IBM product called "OMNIbus". Please stop and explain. John Vandenberg 07:52, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- As you have not responded, and continue to add articles to Category:IBM omnibus [1], the category has now been listed on WP:CfD.
[edit] 601 date
The reference on the IBM 600 multiplying punch says that the 601 multiplying punch was introduced in 1933 as an improvement. I have duplicated that link so it is now on both the 600 and 601. -- RTC 20:27, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Punch card
See my comment in the punch card discussion. -- RTC 06:34, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
