Discospinster deleted your entry "Contrariwise, it is widely considered today that hippies did more harm than good and only gave comfort to the enemy in a time of war. Hippies were often referred to as treasonous, unpatriotic traitors." I would have deleted this myself if "Disco" hadn't beat me to it.

Perhaps some instruction in English composition would help. "Contrariwise"....?! That really bites.

Then "It is widely considered..." The worst kind of passive sentence, since we don't know who considers, when they consider it, nor whether we should pay any attention to their considering.

And "treasonous, unpatriotic traitors" could be the best example I have seen to date of the use of redundant language.

Really, the vacuous quality of the thought aside, it's obvious your talents lie elsewhere. Founders4 05:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your comment on my talk page, re Hippy

I think you are confused. Founders is the one who left the comment on your talk page. Anyway, "contrariwise" sounds like something Alice in Wonderland would say. ... discospinster talk 12:27, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
