Please stop. If you continue to use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did in PlayStation 2, you will be blocked from editing. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did in 2006 in video gaming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. [edit] Reversions

Hi, thanks for contacting me. The links you added to wikipedia (ie the homebrew site) were not really in keeping with the content of the articles in question, except for the fact the linked site provides information on how to crack into the consoles in the articles. Because of this, I removed the links as link spam (especially as some of the links were phrased in such a way that they sounded like thjey were directly trying to get traffic to the site). Generally, links should only be added to wikipedia if they directly support (or provide verifibility for) the article itself, and the links you added (in good faith) unfortunately didn't comply with this. Can I urge you to register a wikipedia account, as with doing so, you get access to a huge number of valuable resources - not least the helpful wikipedia community. You also get a degree of anonymity and recognition for your contributions. Thanks Martinp23 20:21, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, it's har dunderstanding this wiki.

Yes, I will not lie. The links were in a way intended to get traffic. It is a great site with an abundance of resource in terms of "homebrew' but it doesn't get enough recognition. The admin works hard adding quality articles and I just wanted to get the word out. ( I am staff on that site).

Apologies for the inconvienience.

Regards,

  • OK - It takes a bit of getting used to, and there are lots of policies which govern everything, but once you get used to them, it's easy. You might be able to write an article about the site if it meets criteria set out at WP:WEB, but if it doesn't reach those criteria, chances are that it'll be deleted. (To create a new page you need to first register a user account (for security purposes)) That's about all I can suggest really, apart from adding information on "homebrew" to an article (like PS2) on wikipedia and linking to your site as a source, but your text addition would probably have to be in context to be accepted. If you need any help at all, please just post a message on my talk page, and if you get a user account, I'd be grateful if you could post a message on my talk page just to let me know (completely up to you, but I'dbe grateful :) ) thanks Martinp23 20:35, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the kind words. I will be sure to let you know.

[edit] A tip

Hi, when leaving messages on peoples' talk pages, you can click the (+) button (next to (edit) at the top) to create a new section, which will allow you to enter a title for the conversation. Then, when you want to respond to communications in an existing conversation, you can scroll down to that conversation in the normal wikipedia view and when you find the title, click on the [edit] button to the right of the heading. Then you can edit just that section. It also helps if you sign your comments by typing four tildes at the end (~~~~) - like I've done just to the right of here ---> Martinp23 20:27, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
