Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to William Anderson. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. - Y.Ichiro (会話|+|投稿記録|メール) 22:53, 23 September 2006 (UTC) I didn't vandalize. That's me, and I'm describing myself more accurately than did the previous entry. Those things are true, and if contributing first hand information about myself is considered vandalism, then I'll obediently consent to not modify anything at all on a website that I'll be forced to consider a trivial farce. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.162.88.220 (talk • contribs) .

[edit] RE: William Anderson
- i thought wikipedia was the ultimately democratic encyclopedia, where my information can exist (As long as it's true) freely and without fear of editorial decisions by people like you. i petition that you replace my name on the list of william andersons immdediately and without further harrassment. the information is incontestably true, and seeing as I am myself, I believe I should be allowed to modify the information at my whim, without the interference of nosy persons such as yourself.
- and according to wikipedias definition of vandalism, my good-natured addition of my information is not considered vandalism. Thank you.

The information is probably true, but not notable- that was why it was removed. Whilst Wikipedia encourages editing, I removed the link you added because I perceived it to be non-notable. Check these criteria, and then cite any sources which would support your claim of being notable.
Seeing as I'm here, would you care to enlighten me on what you meant by 'people like you'?

- You're some sort of informational vigilante, good sir. A rogue, someone who takes it upon his/herself to decide which information is notable and which is not. Let the democratic nature of Wikipedia take it's course, and if a majority of people deem my information not notable, my entry will be submitted to the most appropriate course of action; it will be ignored. If I am less notable than entries like the one for "Candy Corn", "Oklahoma State Highway 9", or "Elkington", (an entry for which there isn't even any informational content submitted), then good heavens, I have no case at all.
- But, my information is notable. For the people who search for country singer Bill Anderson, with whom I share my name, or Bloody Bill Anderson, the notorious Confederate officer, they are often astounded to see a lengthy list of Bill or William Andersons. I'm a student, an indisputably worthy and admirable profession, as well as a bookseller and a guitarist. These tidbits are valuable to various groups of people. It may not be valuable to you, and I understand that. I do not by any means insist that you recognize me as someone that you, personally, ought to be familiar with. But in the name of democracy, and in the name of Wikipedia, please allow me my place in the hall of other William Andersons.
Firstly, please sign your posts: some editors will not respond if you don't, and it's considered good etiquette to do so.
Notability is, I agree, an issue about which some editors disagree, but, as the top of the page states,
This page is considered a guideline on Wikipedia. It is generally accepted among editors and is considered a standard that all users should follow. However, it is not set in stone and should be treated with common sense and the occasional exception.
so I would be happy to include your reference should other editors agree it should be kept. Common sense seems to indicate that if your entry is to remain, everyone can add their own 'claim to fame' to Wikipedia, which would devalue the information contained within: can you imagine searching through list upon list of people named John Smith to find the one relevant article?

[edit] Mustard Plug Edits
Hi, thanks for helping with the Mustard Plug article. I recently reverted a couple edits you made because they seem to be vandalism. I have never heard anyone call the band "Tard Plug," and in any case a google search shows that it is not common enough to merit mention. I posted the same information on the MP article, so if you want to reply please do so there. Michael 134.84.96.142 22:19, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Mustard Plug. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. SomethingFamiliar (talk) 04:53, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I noticed that you have made the same edits to Mustard Plug as before, and again they have been reverted as vandalism. If you continue vandalizing the article you may be blocked. Thank you! 134.84.96.142 (talk) 23:47, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, the recent edit you made to Peace treaty of 1737 has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing.
