[edit] Infobox titles

Wikipedia has projects which set up guidleines for certian types of articles. Aircraft articles are covered by 'Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft. The project has guidleines for aircraft pages, including the Infobox at the top right of most aircraft pages. Per Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft/page content#Infobox: For the most part, as there is an appropriate field in the infobox itself, including the manufacturer in the "name" field is not necessary. Some exceptions exist, such as aircraft which only have model numbers. Boeing and Airbus are the main exceptions to this guideline. They are not meant as examples to be followed in the other articles. I hope this clears up things for you, and that you will cease adding the company name to the McDD airliner pages. Thanks. - BillCJ 03:22, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
