Wikipedia has no commerical interests involving outside companies (that I know of). Granted, I'm just another user, one of hundreds of thousand, not part of the group running the site. However, MobyGames (from what I've seen of it; I've never even really read the wiki page on them) collects info on games, and I have found the site useful when looking up stuff on some old games. As a similar example, the IMDB relies on commercial stuff, but is also an invaluable resource (most of the time) for info on various actors and films. Links are added to the relevant sites by users as they can provide useful info, not in an effort to promote the site (that said, some just link them regardless). The website you linked to from the Killer Instinct page, however, has very little originally written info, and is barely started. This makes it pretty obvious that the addition was intended to promote the site. Please examine the external link guideline. In general, fansite links should be limited to the most popular/prominent fansite (or in some cases, fansites). Also, I have seen at least one or two cases where MobyGames links were removed from an article, as they provided no useful information.--Drat (Talk) 15:04, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I agree with Drat. Please stop removing external links to informative sites such as Gamespot or IGN just because a link to your private site was removed, as doing so violates WP:POINT.--TBCTaLk?!? 01:35, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Donkey Konga 3. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Donkey Konga 2. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. This is your last warning.
