[edit] Hughes Space and Communications Company

Hello to all of the individuals that edit and look at Hughes Aircraft Company. I noticed that many of you have changed the Space and Communications part.

Many have put down as Hughes Space & Communications Group, yes - indeed it was a group along with Hughes Space Systems Division. However, remember the following information;

Hughes Space and Communications Company was formed as a subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft in 1961 following the merger of the company's Space and Communications Group and the Hughes Space Systems Division.

So from 1961 to 2000 it was called Hughes Space & Communications Company until its sale to Boeing. That's why I keep changing it from GROUP to COMPANY.

I hope this make plenty of sense.

Thanks,

Anthony

Please provide verifiable sources to back up your claim regarding Hughes S & C's name. Otherwise you are engaging in an edit war, and this is not the way to resolve disputes on Wikipedia. Thanks. - BillCJ 02:37, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
