Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Internet slang. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --AbsolutDan (talk) 18:06, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue spamming you will be blocked from editing. -- Moondyne 03:15, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
In response to your message on my talk page, Wikipedia is in need of more cited content from reliable sources, not more external links. The article has since been cleaned up to remove nearly all the external links that were there. Google rankings alone do not make a site authoritative. Reliable sources guidelines include good indicators of what makes a site reliable per WP standards. --AbsolutDan (talk) 03:18, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Quite obviously from your last message to me, you've got some interest in having the link added since you're this upset about it's removal. Please see WP:EL and WP:SPAM regarding linking to websites that you are affiliated with (in short, don't do it).
- You'll "have people checking it morning noon and night and removing all links to external sites"? Do not threaten to disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. If you have a problem with other external links on the page, bring them up on the article's talk page. Same goes with your link - if you think it ought to be there, bring it up on the article's talk page. Allow other editors to discuss the merits of the link(s) and respect consensus. Removing content strictly because you're upset about something is also considered vandalism. --AbsolutDan (talk) 13:11, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. Threats to disrupt Wikipedia will not help your cause. — Moondyne 14:42, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
