The definitions relate to a different school of hypothesis testing than that discussed in the article (Fisher vs Neyman-Pearson). There is nothing wrong with the addition, but it requires a whole lot of additional explanation here.
A consensus should be developed on how to discuss both schools without confusion.
From the first issue of 2004: "I'm aware that a distinction is made between "significance tests" and "hypothesis tests"; I guess that distinction should be clarified in this article. I don't know if separate articles are needed."
The issue remains. :-)
Proposal: 1) Change the title of this article to "Null-hypothesis significance testing"
2) Rename the Multiple_Comparisons article if necessary.
3) Move the Definition of Terms section from here to there.
4) Disambiguate.
