Please do not continue to blank sections of the articles for Margaret Cho and Whoopi Goldberg. If you disagree with the content, the best route is to start a discussion on the talk page and get consensus for a change, rather than repeatedly deleting the content (in this case, cites to a Maxim reader poll). Repeated blanking of article content, depending on the circumstances, may be viewed as vandalism, so it's best to talk these edits over first. --Zippy 23:55, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

But we did discuss it already and the majority of the people chiming in agreed. Should we take a vote? Check out the discussion page and let me know.

My apologies if this was discussed. I just looked Talk:Whoopi_Goldberg and didn't see any mention of the Maxim poll. Perhaps I'm missing it. If you could point me to the discussion, I'd appreciate it. I do see a discussion on Talk:Margaret_Cho, but at first glance, there does not appear to be a consensus to remove the content. Consensus is important because it helps prevent edit wars on an article. Again, if I've missed some sort of agreement on Talk:Margaret_Cho, please let me know. --Zippy 01:31, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

sorry for reverting Margaret Cho. I thought it was vandalizim. My bad.A.M.962 20:07, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Now worries. I don't think the Maxim junk poll is relevant to comedians but if others insist that it is then so is the fact that their readers over-selected women and people of color as "worst comedians." I think the "poll" says more about Maxim readers than about comedy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.122.63.226 (talkcontribs)

The key words in your last comment are "I think." You can think whatever you want, and express it on Talk pages, but you can't just stick your personal opinions into articles and claim that they are "facts." If you can find a verifiable source that backs up your criticism of Maxim's polls, then cite it. --Russ (talk) 20:22, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your comment but you are missing the fact that I did NOT insert my personal opinion into the article - I put it here on my talk (my personal opinion being that the poll says a lot about the magazine's readers). The FACT that I added to the article is that Seventy Five percent of the comedians the magazine's readers chose were either women or people of color. Go back and look at the list. The Source is the maxim junk poll itself.
