Namaskar. I thought not to waste your time and just write here; I do not know of any relation between koshur and kosher. The word koshur is certainly related in etymology to Kashmiri which is derived in part from Rishi Kashyap, and through koshur language, kashmiri is expressed as koshur. As far as the word 'kosher' goes, I believe it comes from the hebrew 'kashrat' which means right or correct, or something of that nature. Also note, that the u in koshur is a devangari u as in short oo. so it is pronounced differently. Maybe there is a deeper connection between the semitic and koshur people, but I've never learned it.
