[edit] Mike Gundy

Wikipedia is not the place to put your personal opinions, as you have done at Mike Gundy. We welcome you to add additional material to articles, but only if it is supported by sources. For more information, please see WP:CITE, WP:V, and WP:RS. Thanks! Johntex\talk 00:41, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Hi, I see you are still having trouble editing Mike Gundy. You have to be able to cite a source for your claim about that "An overwhelming majority have spoken through an online poll of "who's side are you on" with 95% in favor of Coach Gundy." You can't just stick it in like you did here as if it came from another source which says no such thing. If you are having trouble with the reference format, you can leave a link on the article talk page. Please remember that sources have to comply with the policies linked above. Thanks! • Hello, thanks for your message. I agree we want the article to be fair. That is difficult to do because there are so many sides the the story. It is already taking up the majority of the Mike Gundy article. We really need to write more about his coaching career so that this new section does not seem so out of place. If you find the citation policies initimidating, just post a link on the talk page. and I or another experienced editor can help with formatting. The online poll may be tricky. Normally, online polls are not considered a very reliable source because no one knows for sure if it is 100 people voting or 2 people voting 50 times each. Still, we should take a look at it. We may be able to cite it as long as we explain any caveats like that. I look forward to working with you. Best, Johntex\talk 23:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
